First time shipping a bike state-to-state. What should I look for on the Bill of Lading during delivery? I want to make sure I'm fully covered by the carrier's insurance if anything happens.

If your bike arrives with a scratch, the Bill of Lading (BOL) is your only real defense. Before the driver leaves, you must document every single mark and take clear, high-res photos from multiple angles. When you get a motorcycle shipping quote, always confirm the cargo insurance limits and deductible. Make sure the driver signs the BOL acknowledging the new damage before they depart. Without that signature and a noted discrepancy on the paperwork, filing a successful insurance claim becomes nearly impossible.
