Help me figure out the logistics on Jersey because I’m already confused. We’re planning a family trip, want to see Mont Orgueil Castle, and definitely stop by the zoo, but I’ve read that the local roads are very narrow, and renting a car is a total stress with left-hand traffic and constant extra insurance charges. Last time in the UK I almost went gray trying to pass a bus on a single-lane road, so this time I just want to relax and enjoy the coastal views. Is it realistic to find a car where the price is fixed?
And if the plane is delayed, do private drivers wait at the airport without crazy extra charges for every minute of waiting, or is it better to find an available car on the spot so you don’t risk money? How do you usually handle these situations?

Renting a car there is definitely not for a relaxing trip, especially if a stop at a restaurant for dinner and a glass of wine is part of the plan. I usually book everything ahead of time through services I trust so I don't end up paying too much to local cab drivers, who can really hit you up hard, especially on the weekends. I'd say it's best to book a Jersey airport transfer through GetTransfer. That way, you can see the final price upfront and choose a car with a comfy interior. The drivers are reliable and will wait if your flight is delayed, as long as you give them the flight number ahead of time, so you won't get any unexpected fees. Hey, so, are you planning to stay in St. Helier for a while? The waterfront's got some great seafood cafés, and you've gotta try the local oysters. Mont Orgueil Castle is also impressive, but a couple of hours should be planned for, as the sea views are absolutely mesmerizing.
