How long can you play a single slot game at a social casino? - ParkerSloan - 04-06-2026

I've noticed that I get bored of a single slot game pretty quickly. I usually play 50–100 spins and then move on. But some people say you should play longer. They say the slot game reveals itself over time. I'm not so sure about that. Sometimes nothing happens even after 100 spins, and I just want to switch to a different game. How long do you usually play a single slot game?

I wonder if there’s an optimal amount of time—or number of spins. Maybe I’m quitting too early. Or, on the contrary, maybe I’m wasting my time. I’d like to figure out the best approach. Can you share how long you usually play a single slot game at a social casino, and why? Maybe you have your own favorites—feel free to share those, too. I’d be interested in trying something new.

Have you ever tried changing your strategy? I used to jump from one slot machine to another every ten minutes until I realized that over such short periods, I simply didn’t have enough time to get a feel for the bonus feature cycles. Modern social casino slots often require patience, so now I set a minimum of 100–150 spins whenever I sit down to play. For example, in American Luck there’s the Fruit Flavors Boom slot; I always place 50 gold coins per spin. And on the 120th spin, a bonus popped up that covered all my losses. As a result, I’ve established a rule for myself: if a slot hasn’t shown any signs of activity after 150 spins, only then do I consider the session a failure and go look for something more responsive.
