I've got a 2016 Silverado that I use for work and honestly it's been an absolute beast, never given me any major problems until now, but with the weather starting to heat up I've realized the air conditioning is just not cutting it anymore. It's blowing air but it's barely cool, even when I have it set to the lowest temperature and the fan on full blast, and sitting in traffic on Al Khail Road the other day I was literally sweating through my shirt which is just not acceptable. I checked the refrigerant levels and they seem okay, so I'm thinking it might be the compressor or maybe the condenser that's gone bad, but I really don't want to start throwing parts at it without a proper diagnosis. The problem is I've had bad experiences with some garages where they just top up the gas and send you on your way without actually fixing the underlying issue, and then a month later you're back in the same situation. A buddy of mine told me that finding a proper Chevrolet repair genuine service center is the way to go because they actually have the right equipment to properly test the AC system and know exactly what to look for on these trucks, rather than just guessing. Has anyone here had AC issues with their Silverado and actually found a place that fixed it properly the first time around? I really need to get this sorted before the real summer heat hits because I can't be driving around in a mobile sauna all day.
