Our large dog jumped onto the living room couch with muddy paws after a rainy afternoon walk. I tried scrubbing the dried dirt spots with a damp washcloth and regular dish soap, but it just faded into a crusty, brownish smudge that ruins the look of the entire cushion. What actually works to clean this up?
