A payments terminal is a device that securely processes card, contactless, or mobile payments. When a customer taps, inserts, or swipes their card, the payments terminal sends the transaction details to the payment processor for authorization. Once approved, the payment is completed and the business receives confirmation, making checkout fast and convenient.
